“JUALAN KHEMAH RAHMAH”

Initial Objectives

This proposal aims to establish an ongoing weekly weekend sale of basic necessities at a discounted rate of 10-15% compared to market prices.
The program will involve the participation of selected key Cooperatives throughout the country.

PRO’S OF JUALAN KHEMAH RAHMAH

This program offers many advantages and benefits. It aligns with social and economic goals by providing affordable access to essential goods and services to the general population, especially low-income and vulnerable segments of society. This contributes to poverty alleviation and improves the standard of living for the masses.

The program will help expand the customer base of the cooperative and increase overall sales. Mini-market and restaurant operators will also benefit, as they can operate at lower costs. This creates a cascade effect, allowing them to sell their products at more affordable prices. This helps to manage the overall cost of living and control inflation.

Setting up and managing the “Jualan Khemah Rahmah” sales area will also provide employment opportunities for local residents in each areas.

IMPLEMENTATION AND EXECUTION

This initiative aims to utilise mobile trucks for executing the “Jualan Khemah Rahmah" sales during weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) in the respective Parliamentary Constituency and State Assembly regions, totaling 822 areas, on a rotational basis

This sales event will be accessible to all, including households, mini-market operators, restaurant operators, canteen or food court operators, wholesalers, and others, with no purchase restriction.

Each sales will be held by area basis, a total of 8 areas in a month, with 1 cooperative managing these 8 areas in 1 month.

ACTSB will help set up and manage/handle the Khemah Sales event and back-end operation throughout the event duration. ACTSB will managed the supply chain management.

The cooperatives will assist with space for the khemah sales, parking facilities, Rela personnel for traffic and crowd control and coordination with local council/majlis on banner and licensing/permits.
